I am a Registered Nurse and a mother of 5 boys (3 on earth and 2 angels in heaven). When my first was born he had a NICU stay of one week. The Lactation Consultant on duty empowered me to breastfeed him and gave me tools so that I could bring him home sooner than expected. She inspired me to follow a career into lactation. Then after having breastfed my own children and developing a passion for helping others, I went on to become a IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). I also have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Wellness Management and Nursing. I have been an RN for the last 12 years. I am here to help you reach your goals with breastfeeding, whatever they may be. When offering my services I assess the mother/baby as a whole and make recommendations based on evidence-based care. 

In the comfort of your own home. This visit may include observation of nursing, feeding by bottle or other tool, weighted feeds, assessment of baby's oral structure with relation to feeding, breast assessment, breastfeeding history/milk expression history. You will receive guidance with latch, positioning, pumping and flange fit, hand expression, milk supply, safe bottle feeding, Together we will create an action plan to help you achieve your feeding goals.

A prenatal breastfeeding consult can be done at any time during your pregnancy. We will complete a comprehensive health history as well as answer any questions and concerns that may impact your breastfeeding journey. We will set a breastfeeding plan and goals for you and your baby. I will also help educate you on all things breastfeeding and lactation support.
